Hi everyone...I know the Blog has been rather quiet recently, but I have been REALLY snowed under. We are now at the busiest time of year with Christmas coming up and next month is always busy for births too! So please keep popping in, as lots of lovely newborns will be up on my blog in the upcoming weeks!
Please see below this post a quick catch up on the last weeks sessions. For the time being I am going to keep the posts short and sweet - just a few images whilst you wait for the proofs. I will let let the pictures speak for themselves.
A quick update on availability, please note that I am now fully booked up until the 17th of November. Therefore, if you are looking for guaranteed pictures for Christmas, unfortunately it is too late, although it all depends on how I get on with my current backlog.
For newborns, the same rules as always apply, if you are expecting, please please give me plenty of notice and I will do my best to accommodate you. Please remember the best time for a newborn photography session is when the baby is between 4 and 10 days old. I have so many mums contact me asking for newborn photography when the baby is 3, 4 , and even 6 weeks old...and my advice will always be that you should wait until your baby is 12 weeks or older. This is because ( at least from a photographic sense) by then the baby is not technically newborn - so the newborn photography session is no longer suitable. Babies older than 2 (well maybe 3) weeks cannot curl up in the poses that you see on the website, nor do the babies sleep as readily. Once they reach 12 weeks, their sleeping patterns are little more regular, and both parent and baby are settled into the new routine. Your little one is also more than likely to be smiling, lifting up when laying on their tummy and we can still get some lovely, soft baby images. This is not to say that you shouldn't book your session at that time - I am normally booked 6 weeks ahead so please keep that in mind!
