I had a fantastic shoot in London this morning with a lovely family.
Kate, a little chatterbox greeted me at the door and was a little star
from the word go. Jack too wasn't shy at all and when we walked the
nearby private gardens, they were both more than happy to be
photographed. Here is a little sneak preview as always, mummy &
daddy hope you like it!

I don't normally show much personal work as it really cannot be
translated into images that I take on a daily basis, i.e children and
baby photography. But I thought I would this time as I think that the
"look" of those would be stunning for children s portraiture. These
particular images were taken late into the evening as the sun was
setting ...about 8.30pm. A little late for babies but definitely OK
for an older child. I overlayed them a little with textures post
processing and enhanced the colours. I wanted to achieve an editorial
feel to the images , and I just love their warmth and mood. So what do
you think? They require a little more work and effort but I think that
sort of image would look great blown up on the wall, and also so
different...

This morning I had my final Beginnings session with Teddy & mummy. He has really grown up since I last saw him, and now has lovely blonde locks to match his blue eyes - girls watch out! Teddy seemed intent on making his escape, so mummy had lost of fun chasing him around and trying catch him! I am really loving the outdoor sessions at the moment, and I got another beautiful shot, see below...

Sam:
Loving my boy - you bring out the best in him, as always - you are amazing - thank you x

Today we had a lovely afternoon, bright and sunny. I met Bobby with mummy and daddy in Bedfords park, which is a new location for me. What I loved about it is the long grass, I love shooting through stuff, so was it was great. Bobby was a pleasure as always, and after he overcame his initial shyness he had fun exploring and trying to copy daddy, who seem to enjoy climbing all the trees in the park! I have posted an extra pic from the preview as I do on occasions when I really love a particular image...

Hello, I am back! All in one piece, recovering well, and looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. I am still working about a week behind on the proofs but getting there.
It was a pleasure to shoot this lovely family again, we did a bit of a split session - bit in the studio and a bit in the garden. It's never easy shooting different age groups - the girls were really quite relaxed about the whole thing, but Freddie had his own ideas! So we had to resort to the usual...bad singing, trickery, wearing silly glasses etc. We got there though and I love the shot of the 3 of them especially, with Freddie showing everyone who's the boss.

Thanks Maria for a great session this morning. We can't wait to see more of the proofs. I am so happy the London rain held off!
