Max

Today I traveled to Fulham to do a home shoot with lovely baby Max. He was a real sweetie and from the moment I arrived very aware of the camera. He is definitely a strong little boy and was excellent on his tummy , I love the shot below, he is most definitely posing! There was some lovely natural light in the house, and I used that for all the images.

My second session of the day was with Isaac, who I last saw as a little newborn. Isaac has amazing blue eyes, and has definitely grown into a proper little boy. He has a lovely smile and did really well today, we definitely shot some lovely images. He came to see me all the way from Chiswick and it was great to see him and mummy and daddy again!

William newborn session

This morning I had a great newborn session with a gorgeous newborn baby boy, who came to see me all the way from Maida Vale. William is just 6 days old , and has the most amazing head of hair. He was a little more active than the average newborn, but with some patience and lots of top ups from mummy, we got some amazing shots! I just love newborn photography, I could do it all day...to top it off William did quite a few "smiles", how cool is that?

This morning i photographed a sweet baby boy called Bobby, at just 5 days old. I photographed his sister Scarlett at 4 days old about a year ago, him and his big sis were born 1 year and 1 day apart. Bobby has the most scrumptious cheeks and slept through most of his session - just how we like it!

The T. family shoot

My second session today was little more unusual for me as I don't very
often shoot larger family groups. Mainly down to the fact that I mostly
photograph babies! But, just like it is nice to go outdoors, it is also
nice to have a bit of a change, and a challenge. Which it always is
with a bigger group - getting everyone looking at the camera at the
same time, with eyes open, and a good expression, is harder that you
may think! The T. clan did rather well , and I had great fun shooting
them and convincing the boys ( that's the older boys) that it is in
fact a very good idea to look happy in pictures for their mum. I
certainly had to make sure I got some good shots since the family were
all from different parts of the country - Oxford, Bristol, and even
Derbyshire!

Edward Beginnings session 3

Yay, back out to the great outdoors! As you all know I love shooting babies and newborns. But as I have many of my babies grow into walking talking little people, it only seems appropriate that I continue to document their progress. I do love shooting outdoors, it certainly blows away the cobwebs and gives me a little variety. Today, my first shoot was with Edward, who came back for his last Beginnings session. We popped down to the local park for a walk, and although it was rather chilly Edward seemed to take it all in his stride!

She was a little star during our session, and I was delighted that I could try out my latest purchase, a lovely vintage pram.
Today's session was with baby Henry who came along with mummy and daddy for his first Beginnings shoot. Henry has really cool hair and is a lovely boy, although he wasn't feeling his best today , bless him. I definitely think it was his first day of teething, and after recently having dental issues I can wholeheartedly sympathize with toothaches of any kind. Still, with a bit of perseverance we managed to get some lovely shots so all is good!

Convincing Jasmine that having her image taken with her new sister was a bit of a challenge, but we got there in the end!

Jacob Beginnings session 2 with Isabelle

This morning I had the pleasure of shooting the lovely Jacob again, last time we met he was a teeny newborn. Of course he has changed lots, he is now tentatively walking and has plenty of personality. As has his beautiful sister Isabelle who came along for the shoot!

Morgan

Today I had photo shoot which really put me under pressure....shooting a session for another portrait photographer and his family! I must say that it is always nerve wracking as you feel you need to deliver something extra, but really it should be just like any other shoot...so after the initial 20 minutes I managed to settle down, and do what I do. Phil, Hayley & Morgan , it was a pleasure. And Morgan is adorable!

Scarlett R Beginnings session 1

This afternoon I had a lovely session with a beautiful newborn - baby Scarlett. Scarlett is 3 and a half weeks old, but came a week early. She just a little bit too alert to get some of the younger newborn shots I may normally do, but we still got a fantastic variety overall and she was a little star ( I won't mention the little accidents she had both on mummy and daddy!)...and check out those tootsies, aren't they precious?

Oliver Beginnings session 2

This mornings session was with Oliver, a handsome young man I last saw when he was just a little baba. Oliver has the cutest cheeks and big blue eyes. He was quite mobile today so I got a bit of exercise, and no doubt he will soon be on his feet! A little preview, as always...

So back to the studio and what a lovely way to start my week. My session today was with Joshua, and he was a little angel! Josh has beautiful dark eyes and is super cute. He didn't even mind us trying to recreate some of my newborn shots, and loved every minute of having his picture taken.
